Free Breakfast and lunch available to ALL students at WHS and WIS starting Wednesday 3/25

Aloha Nanakuli/Waianae Families of our Public and Charter Schools,

We hope this message finds you and your ohana well during this Covid-19 emergency in Hawaii. We realize that the necessary closure of our schools will cause a disruption to our services so to help alleviate the current situation, our school cafeterias at Waianae High, Waianae Intermediate, Maili Elementary, Nanakuli High and Intermediate and Nanaikapono Elementary will provide prepared breakfasts and lunches for our children starting from Wednesday March 25th, except for Thursday as it is a holiday.

During the school closure period, our cafeterias will be providing breakfast and lunch for any student on the coast, 18 years and under, using a “drive-thru” pick up system. Breakfast will be served from 7:30-8:00 am. Lunch will be served from 11:30-12:00 pm. One meal per child will be distributed and the child/children must be present to be served a meal based on federal guidelines.

If you have any questions, please feel free to get further updated information on the school websites.

We will continue to put the well being of our children and families as a priority in all decisions made during this time.

Please stay safe and well as we go through these times together.
