Kamaile Academy will align with the Hawaii DOE in response to COVID-19

March 12, 2020

Aloha e ka ‘ohana Kamaile,

As we approach Spring Break, Kamaile Academy would like to share our process for responding to the Corona Virus/COVID-19 situation.  At Kamaile, we take the safety and wellbeing of our students, families, and staff seriously. Although there have been no confirmed cases for any students or faculty at our school, we would like to keep you posted on how our school is responding.

As we move forward, Kamaile Academy will align with the Hawaii Department of Education (DOE) and the Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) in response to COVID-19. We will follow the direction of the DOE with any potential upcoming school closures. In addition, we are enhancing our already existing cleaning and disinfecting guidelines within classrooms and high traffic areas.

The COVID-19 situation will continue to develop. Please stay tuned to local news and our Kamaile Academy Website for updates.  We will provide timely updates, recommendations, and next steps. You can also view all of the DOE memos and information on the DOE website

Mahalo for your support,

Eric Wyand

School Director
