Kamaile Academy Continuing to Evaluate the High School

Over the past few months, the Wai‘anae community has been passionately engaged in a discussion about the future of our beloved Kamaile Academy High School. And we are committed to making sure the voices of our community, students, parents, faculty and staff are always included. Unfortunately, this discussion has been misinterpreted by some as plans to close our high school program. We have no plans to close the high school or to cancel any classes for any of our students. However, we are proud to see so much passionate discourse about our school.

Kamaile is continuing to evaluate the needs of our high school and of our students. And, more time is needed to ensure all voices are heard and the best process is in place to plan for the school’s future. You can email WCRE@kamaile.org to share your mana`o.

Also, please know that Kamaile Academy has not started any fundraising online. So please beware of anyone trying to solicit online donations on behalf of Kamaile.

To keep our community engaged, our Local Advisory Panel will help redesign an open and formal process to continue this discussion and obtain more input from the community. We will keep everyone informed as we move forward.
